New Products for 2026 from the SCI Convention Floor

It is the time of year when trade shows and conventions dominate the shooting and hunting industry, and new products are showcased for the coming year. Just a little over a week after the SHOT Show was took place in Las Vegas, the annual Safari Club International (SCI) Convention was being hosted in Nashville, Tennessee.

The event draws thousands of hunters, conservationists, outfitters, and industry professionals from across the globe for a combination trade show, educational forum, social gathering, and fundraising event that helps fund the promotion of worldwide hunting and wildlife conservation. SCI consistently provides a platform for manufacturers to showcase their latest innovations, with a greater focus on hunting than at some other trade shows. The 2026 edition was no exception, with an impressive array of new firearms, ammunition, optics, and accessories captivating attendees. During my time there, I was able to go “hands-on” with several new rifles, optics, and suppressors. Here’s a glimpse into some of this year’s most exciting debuts.

Hunting Rifles

Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Capra: The Backcountry Capra redefines the lightweight mountain rifle and raises Weatherby’s standard for backcountry performance. Starting at just 4 pounds, the Capra features the Mark V 6-lug short-action machined from titanium, making it one of the lightest production rifles ever offered. Its thin-contour barrel features double-spiral fluting that forms a double helix. This cuts weight while adding rigidity to deliver sub-MOA accuracy. A modified Peak 44 Blacktooth stock shaves ounces on the trail while preserving comfortable ergonomics and effective recoil control. The MSRP starts at $3,499. Learn more at Weatherby.

Bergara CIMA CF: The new Cima CF (Carbon Fiber) deliver for hunters who appreciate the balance and feel of a classic sporter-style rifle. It’s built for those who also demand modern innovation and reduced weight. Weighing in at just 5.8 pounds, it’s the lightest rifle ever in their B-14 lineup. The foundation of the Cima CF is its RTM sporter stock, crafted using a Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) process. This advanced method results in a 100% carbon fiber stock that’s not only rigid, but also incredibly light—just 18 ounces. Inside, an SMC carbon mini-chassis is precision-fit to provide the action with a solid bedding platform. This ultra-light chassis adds critical stiffness and rigidity without unnecessary weight, maximizing both structural integrity and accuracy. Paired with a Bergara CURE carbon barrel, every element of the Cima CF is engineered for maximum weight reduction without sacrificing performance. The MSRP starts at $1,849. base on select models. Its rich features at an affordable price should make it an excellent choice for a variety of hunting scenarios. The MSRP starts at $999. Learn more at Christensen Arms.

HS Precision: One of the coolest new things I saw was at the HS Precision booth. HS Precision is known for its accuracy and innovation. Their Pro-Series® TTD (Tactical Takedown) Rifles provide a unique solution for any tactical situation. One of the guys showed me a new prototype of this TTD rifle in an MDT chassis that hasn’t officially been announced to the public. With the patented interrupted thread design the TTD allows the tool-less assembly of multiple barrels in seconds to fit into a much smaller case for ease of transportation and discretion. This rifle features H-S Precision’s legendary accuracy guarantee with a repeatability guarantee of 1″ MOA.  Learn more at HS Precision.

Suppressors

Dead Air Nomad TI OTB: Dead Air Silencers has consistently pushed suppressor design forward, and their new Nomad TI OTB continues that tradition. The Nomad TI OTB is 7.65 inches long, but slides over the barrel’s last few inches to add just 4.6 inches to the rifle’s overall length, effectively reclaiming that space without compromising sound suppression. The titanium construction also keeps weight to just 10.5 ounces despite the 7.65-inch overall length. Dead Air’s proprietary quick-detach system locks the suppressor securely to a muzzle device while maintaining perfect concentricity, which is critical for OTB designs where any misalignment could result in baffle strikes. The MSRP is $1,049. Learn more at Dead Air Silencers.
